9/05/2010 (Rosie): Mess and Procrastination

I am, over all, a pretty amazing procrastinator. I know exactly how long I can push off revising or working on something and still get a pretty amazing grade on it. And today, sadly, was the day I had to start actually working on a French presentation.

When I work, I like to spread out all the stuff I could possibly need, and create huge mess :D That way, I have something to clean up while I procrastinate a bit more.

8/05/2010 (Rosie): Colourful Flooring

Today was pretty awesome. I got up early and walked down to the market, then we went to the flooring shop to choose the flooring for our soon to be renovated bathrooms.

And as we looked at piece of cork after piece of cork, something much more interesting caught my eye: something very colour full. When I asked my dad what marmoleum was (it's a flooring made out of linseed oil, pine resin, pine flour and colouring, and is apparently the most amazing thing since ever), turns out it's pretty much perfect for our house. So bright floors ahead :D

7/05/2010 (Rosie): Cat in a Tree

Wow, I went from almost a month without posting to two posts in one day! After I posted this morning, I took my cat outside and took a whole bunch of pictures. Like, hundreds. It was hard choosing just one.

What do you mean, she's a STUFFED cat? I assure you, Kissan is very much alive. SHE IS. After I made her pretend to be a panther and pose on a tree branch, she jumped off.

PS: Yes, I know, I'm totally "taking inspiration" from Fin's photos way back from the days when the blog was young and we all posted frequently.

A good long while (Rosie): Oppps

At the beginning of April I seem to recall saying I was going to get back on track and start taking a picture everyday again. Well, that didn't work out too well when my life sort of decided it had had enough of being shoved to the side. So I spent April having an amazing time, trying not to fail all my classes, having epiphanies, and not blogging or taking pictures. Then at around 1:30 am on May 1, I realized that it was MAY. And May seems like a good month to start blogging again, and so I'm back.

Like I said, I haven't taken many pictures this past month, but here are some random snapshots:

I was making icing and we didn't have any vanilla, so I improvised with mint and chocolate. And obviously made a MESS.

Umm, I didn't have my glasses on and all I could see clearly was the mesh on my window. I'm not going to go all deep on you, cause French class is taking all of my analyzing efforts right now.

My best friend got stuck in an elevator. I'm still pretty jealous.

Just like I realized it was May, I was going to a rehearsal the other day and sort of realized that it was spring. That was last Sunday, and it's pretty much full on Summer now.

I started wearing a whole bunch of hemp and leather bracelets. And I really want to get a tattoo. I'm also considering dropping out of school and backpacking around the world. Cause I need more teenage rebellion in my life :P Sadly, I can't get a tattoo till I'm sixteen and I should probably wait till I'm a legal adult before I set off around the world. So my teenage rebellion has been put on hold for the moment.

12/04/2010 (Findlay) : Final Art project

Today was a good day. In my Global Politics class we had a jeopardy themed day, and I had tons of fun, (I won chocolate!) I came home and walked around a bit. I bought a shirt at a thrift store, and some garlic fingers. I came home and hung out with Dominic. We played some Go, and I painted.

This is my final art project for the year.
The last day of classes is on Wednesday! I'm excited. :)

10/04/2010 (findlay) : Stu-art

Today I found that I would have three photos published in St. Thomas's new arts journal, "stuart."
I had submitted them back in February, and I just got the email today. I'm pretty excited. There's an opening on Sunday, April 25th, and I'm looking forward to it. :D

Two of the pictures were in my "Book on Fire" collection-thingy. The other was this picture of my handsome cousin Lucas.
I hope you're all having a lovely day.

06-09/04/2010 (Rosie): Summer Seems to be Here

The weather this week has been absolutely beautiful, and we have been spending all of our lunch hours outside, sunbathing, laughing, playing football*. Anyways, now that I don't spend my lunch hour in the library working, I have more homework. I have been taking pictures though :)

It was very sunny on the bus Tuesday morning.

I couldn't resist. Spider monkey looked so cute on the piece of wood thing.
I love tea :) When I'm not at school all day, I drink at least two pots a day.
The grass was green, the sun was shining, everyone was outside. It was easy to forget that it's only April and that we still have months of school. Those of us still in high school do anyways.
~ Rosie

*I prefer to watch. I like sports, but my school outfits don't mesh very well with anything more than walking or dancing. They usually involving precariously balanced hats and shirts, very tight jeans or skirts and high heels. That makes me sound like a total slut, which I'm not, I just like slightly extravagant clothing.

April 8th and 9th (Mark):

Philosophy paper, thinking about stuff, writing the draft of the first poem I`ve written since middle school, feeling depressed for the first time in a while. Study party in the GRID room I had confused for the middle classroom lead to not feeling depressed.
And nothing worth noting for today, which kind of sucks but I did not have the energy to seek adventure. Or do work. I got an alright picture though, I`ve actually been liking the shakiness of low iso settings, and thought it would add to the picture.

04/09/2010 (Findlay) : ReNEW'd

Oh yes, like the others I have missed a lot of posting. I have been taking pictures, but utterly failing to upload them. I have a period of relative ease for the next few days, and I should take that time to upload more pictures.

So here we go. This is from a photoshoot I did with mark and my roommate Dominic a while ago.
Unlike Mark and Rosie, I think I will just upload one, and then continue with it from there.

Forever ago to the present (Mark)

Hello, I bring photos. Screw the bunches, I'm going to go back to one a day. Lisa scolds all of us for being sloths, and the last three pictures and the one of my drawn-on arm weren't actually taken BY me, just with my camera

06 April, 2010

oops

I somehow managed to post this on the wrong blog. Sorry. Pictures SOON, I promise.

11/03-05/04/2010 (Rosie): SORRY!

If anyone is still reading after all this time: I'm sorry! My march break ended, and I haven't had time to look back since. There was the theatre production, and then a big event to coordinate with another group I'm in, not to mention tons of homework and trying not to dye of exhaustion. I don't want to sound whiny, or like I'm making excuses, but I honestly have been way too busy to take many pictures or to blog much.

I by no means have a photo from every day for the last month, but here are some random snapshots:

Things are looking a bit calmer, for a few weeks anyways, so I should be back to my daily posting schedule. The end of April is looking insanely awesome (in other words, really busy), but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

9-10/03/2010 (Rosie): Sleep and Sleeping Sister

Yesterday was insane. I left at 8:20 am, and only got home at 8:45 pm. By that point I had either been on my feet* or doing complicated classwork for almost twelve hours straight, and I was tired. So I ate dinner, did my French homework (badly, as I found out today) and went to bed.
I had forgotten just how much I love pillows.
Today was pretty normal, but I happened to sneak into my sisters bedroom to "borrow" her hand cream, and I had to take a picture of her sleeping. She was just too cute!

~Rosie

*I should point out that those feet were wearing absolutely adorable pumps. And fishnets. With a pencil skirt. Not at all practical for climbing ladders and painting walls, but practicality isn't my main goal.

5-8/03/2010 (Rosie): Just That Cool

A person would think that when I'm on vacation and have nothing to do, I would be a great blogger and post my photos as soon as I take them. The opposite is true, And I spent most of the week in a semi-comatose state, watching Buffy and eating icing. I'm back now though, still eating icing and watching Buffy, but working on just about a million different things at the same time.

I managed to get out of the house and go skiing on Friday. The ice on the trees was so pretty!

I got a haircut! And wore my white faux fur coat, and my big black sunglasses.

Sunday night I made today's lunch. Yup, I pack a lunch everyday. I'm just that cool :)

I took some outfit photos today. And once again you guys get the cool one that wasn't really right for my other blog.

Posting should be back to normal now that I'm back at school and have a schedule/life again.

06 March, 2010

Hello again

So, I'm back. I realized that I would probably never actually start posting here again if I waited until I got my scattered photos together and figure out their dates. So instead, I'm starting afresh now. Lets just forget that little episode happened, okay?

Today, I went out driving for the second time in my life, then the third. My mother and instructor seem to think I'm doing well. The rest of the day I pretty much just procrastinated on my paper and learned about Tarot. I got this beginners Tarot thing which came with a deck and a book. I'm kind of frustrated with it, the cards don't feel right. A tarot deck should be old, and the cards should be heavy. If I actually get into this I'll shell out some cash for that feeling. I probably won't though, I don't really believe in the psychic or anything like that; I just think the cards are really cool. Besides, it's not like my deck won't get worn eventually. Here is a picture of my slobbish lifestyle, and Tarot cards.

06/03/2010 (Findlay) : A long while gone

Here are a lot of pictures. Info about what has been going on in my life is at the bottom. As you can imagine, this took a long time to upload. Enjoy slogging through all 33/34 of them. :D
Sunset from Spyglass hill

Self Portrait
This is my current desktop. It's me... creepin'

The Wonderful Book I am currently reading. :D

Very interesting posters. Apparently this is true in NYC. These buttons don't actually work in 75% of the places.

I really like graffiti, so there are a couple photos throughout.

Everyone loves the city market! I got a pesto baguette :D

Went for a walk at the Rec Center this morning. We went to the Dogpark and saw the future Q-plex site.

The sight of all these fallen trees was exspruciating. It was excedaringly sad. (I know, bad oak.)

My mother is a troll!?! :O

This will be quite the massive post. I haven't really been doing my duty since February. That's just not decent.

Points of Interest -
-My sister left for Katimavik for a 6 month Program. She will be in Ontario, and then Quebec, and finally PEI. I miss her.
-Zara's 18th Birthday.
-March Break Axis&Allies game with some of my best friends: Dan, Dave, Dominic and my cousin Ryan.-March Break in general. I like school, but everyone enjoys a break from time to time. It's quite nice to be with family for a while.
-Buying a new bag, and starting to read Jack Kerouac. I also bought a Fedora that fits me.
-Deciding what to do for the summer.
-Parties, we had a few goodbye/birthday parties for Zara. A lot of games were played, like Mafia and Kungfu, and we watched horrible movies, and good movies.
-Grace's visit. My great friend Grace McNee came down for the weekend, and it was delightful to see her again. The weather was crappy, so we watched "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe, "Casablanca" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Those are the main things. Now, for an impressive picture count, mostly from four separate days.
